This is a draft. Details may change before MyErrand launches.

These terms are the agreement between you and [registered company name] (“MyErrand”, “we”) for using the MyErrand website and apps. By creating an account or using MyErrand, you agree to them. Please also read our privacy policy.

What MyErrand is

MyErrand connects people who need everyday errands done (customers) with people nearby who run them (taskers). Taskers are independent people who choose which errands to take; they are not MyErrand employees. MyErrand does not sell the items a tasker buys for you; those come from the shops and markets you choose.

Who can use MyErrand

  • You must be 18 or older.
  • The details you give us must be true and kept up to date.
  • Keep your password and login codes to yourself. You are responsible for what happens on your account.
  • One account per person, unless we agree otherwise.

If you are a customer

  • Describe your errand clearly and honestly, including where to buy, pick up and deliver.
  • For shopping, set a budget that covers the items you ask for.
  • The app shows the full cost, including our service fee, before you pay. Prices are in naira.
  • When you have everything, give your tasker your 4-digit PIN. Sharing your PIN confirms the errand is complete, so only share it once you have what you asked for.
  • Treat your tasker with respect, and be available at the address you gave.

If you are a tasker

  • Before you can take errands, you must give us a valid government ID, your BVN and a Nigerian bank account, and our team must approve them.
  • The app shows what you will earn for an errand before you accept it. Only accept errands you can complete.
  • Buy exactly what the customer asked for, within their budget, and handle their items with care.
  • Only ask for the customer's PIN once you have handed everything over.
  • Your earnings are paid to the bank account you gave us after the errand is complete.
  • You are responsible for your own transport, tools and any taxes on your earnings.

Things you must not use MyErrand for

  • Anything illegal in Nigeria, including stolen goods and illegal drugs.
  • Weapons, ammunition or explosives.
  • Prescription medicine without a valid prescription.
  • Dangerous or hazardous materials.
  • Alcohol or tobacco for anyone under 18.
  • Harassing, threatening or cheating anyone, or getting around our fees.

A tasker may refuse an errand that breaks these rules, and we may cancel it.

Cancelling

You can cancel an errand in the app. If a tasker has already accepted it, a cancellation fee may apply. The app shows any fee before you confirm.

When something goes wrong

If there's a problem with an errand, report it in the app within 24 hours of the errand being marked complete. Our team will look at what both of you tell us and may pay the tasker, refund you, or split the amount between you. We'll explain our decision.

Ratings and reviews

Reviews must be honest and about the errand. We may remove reviews or messages that are abusive, false or share someone's personal details.

Suspending or closing accounts

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts others at risk or is used for fraud. Where it is safe to, we'll tell you why. You can close your account at any time.

Our responsibility

We work hard to keep MyErrand running and to check taskers, but we can't promise the service will always be available or free of errors, and our checks aren't a guarantee of anyone's behaviour. We aren't responsible for the quality of items sold by shops and markets. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under Nigerian consumer protection law.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we'll update the date at the top. If a change is important, we'll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
